About

Our Mission

Our Mission is to facilitate the rescue, fostering, and careful placement of lost, abandoned, abused or surrendered Airedale Terriers, all without judgement of the circumstances.

We hope that you will become a part of the West Coast Airedale Rescue (WCAR) family. Every adopter and volunteer is part of rescue.

Who We Are

WCAR is an all volunteer team, organized under the Airedale Terrier Club of America (ACTA) Rescue & Adoption, a 501(c)(3). WCAR operates under the policies and guidelines of the ATCA. Our volunteers are located across our region from Northern California to the Canadian border. We actively engage to identify, rescue, rehabilitate and place purebred Airedales in loving, Airedale experienced homes.

Regions Served

We serve Washington, Oregon, and Northern California with the goal of helping Airedale Terriers in need, find a forever home. If you live in a different region, please visit ATCA Rescue & Adoption to find a contact in your area.

Is an Airedale Right For You?

Before you consider adopting, read about the Airedale Terrier. The Airedale Terrier, King of the Terriers, is not for everyone. Please learn about their characteristics, temperament, and size in order to find out if an Airedale is a good fit with your family, environment, and lifestyle.
